What Volunteers Do and How To Join

The State and Territory Emergency Service's (S/TES) respond to natural disasters, such  as, storm, cyclone, earthquake and flood. As well as other emergencies such as, search and rescue. The S/TES may also support Police and Fire Services when required.

Volunteering with the S/TES is a rewarding experience, not just for you but for your local community as well.

S/TES volunteers make themselves available for call out to emergencies when requried, depending on their individual skills. There are many roles in the S/TES that volunteers can participate in. Not every volunteer is required to do physical tasks.
